Engineered Plated Floor TrussesEngineered plated floor trusses are an essential component of a fully engineered structure. Greater spans can be accommodated with plated floor trusses than with TJI or traditional floor systems. Utilizing engineered floor trusses can limit the number of load bearing walls. By minimizing load bearing walls and/or foundation piers, engineered floor trusses save you material costs. As with our roof trusses, all of our floor trusses are individually engineered to meet the specifications of each building design. This allows for the most cost effective designs to meet the needs of the structure. Additionally, floor trusses can be set very quickly. This also saves labor cost and dry-in time. All trusses designed by Truswood, receive an engineer’s seal to help expedite the inspection process. This can also provide the homeowner with additional assurance that they are getting the most structurally sound design for their money. Flexibility in DesignOur engineered floor trusses are designed to carry all loads that are required in your building design, and local building codes. Floor trusses can be designed to carry additional loads, such as gypcrete for radiant floor heating, as needed. Kneewalls can also be supplied at locations where floor trusses are not applicable, such as at the exterior perimeter of the building. Engineered floor trusses can be utilized in most residential and many commercial applications. Engineered open-web designs also allow contractors to easily install mechanical and HVAC systems, without drilling holes or cutting lumber.
