Technology in Building

Designers of the T.S.D. can engineer buildings using 3-d engineering software, which identifies and evaluates discrepancies between floor plans and elevations. The engineering software provides designers with accurate loading and deflection calculations, thereby allowing more flexibility and savings in quality truss designs. Designers can evaluate load paths through a structure to ensure a quality design. Feasible solutions can be accurately illustrated for review and approval by the customer/builder, thereby saving time and money in costly delays in the field.

Technology in Manufacturing Processes

The engineering software used for truss design eliminates drawbacks to stick framing, such as crowning, cupping, and twisting.  Camber is designed into floor trusses to counteract deflection. The engineering software accounts for the metal plating material used to assemble the trusses allowing more flexibility in design, thereby improving and reducing the cost of the design.
